You trusted me and I broke your heart,
I lost your love with a poisonous dart.
I want to go to that dreaded night,
prevent it from ever seeing the morning light.

You trusted me and I broke your heart,
I let you down and I had to part.
All I wanted was to be your knight,
be the one who treated your right.

You trusted me and I broke your heart,
I failed your love and now we are apart.
I hope with time, you can once again be ok with me in sight,
I hope with time, you can see me in a different light.

You trusted me and I broke your heart,
I realize my mistake and will now depart.
I hope one day you have the might,
to forgive me and relieve me of my plight.
