My Poisoned Blood Poem by Katheryn Foley

My Poisoned Blood

Sitting in a chamber with dark cold walls,
Spinning and spinning downward you fall,
You reach through the darkness,
Searching for light,
As shadows cross your path left from right,

Snapping back to the old ways,
They pull you back and forth you sway,
Deciding right from wrong,
wondering just how long,
it will be until you can breathe again.

The fiery feelings released in open wounds,
blood like poison, poison me slowly,
Pour out the blood, find the cure,
Of living in this lonely world,

I cut, I scream in silent fear,
Droplets of empty tears fill these pages of hurt,
I embrace my pain because it makes me feel alive,
I can finally let go and get rid of this curse,

Blocking out all the love I've ever felt,
Without a doubt you tore my heart out,
I'm bleeding from the inside, I shout,
I laugh I cry I hate myself,
Loving you was the worst I could do,
I can't think of the reason why you left me here
To suffer and die,

Through the fire of hell,
Its my soul they will sell,
Its the end of the world,
For every boy and girl,

We cut, We scream in silent fear,
As Droplets of empty tears fill these pages of hurt,
We embrace our pain because it makes us feel alive,
We can finally let go and get rid of this curse,
