My Prayer Poem by Tammy Jean

My Prayer

I whisper your name hoping to hear your beautiful voice, I'd wish you back Mom if I had a choice.

The ache within my heart is so deep and so real, no one really knows just how I feel.

Missing you everyday that passes me by, I was not ready Mom to say good-bye.

If I could just see you one more time, to watch your beautiful blue eyes gleam & shine.

I would be so very happy holding your hand, not wanting you to go back to the promise land.

You're missed more than you'll ever know, you were my Mom with that incredible glow.

I know someday I'll see you again, kiss your cheeks and hold your hand.

When that day comes and I see you standing there, I'll finally know that God answered my prayer.
