My Prayer Of Bereavement
Lord, may I have the power
To face the future with a smile,
To have the faith to clearly see
That life is still worthwhile.
To grieve not overlong - be brave and true
To You, in everything that I might say or do,
To have your gracious love to keep me strong.
To feel your presence all day long,
To speak to you in prayer - so that I may
Emerge from this sorrow, to a brighter day.
