My Sam Poem by Kevin Eaglesfield

My Sam

My Sam got turned off today,
And you should have seen them.
All the way to Tyburn lined,
And fighting for a place.
He jumped as well, my Sam,
With a wink and a kiss.
I didn't watch after that.
It's a monstrous sight
And there's enough to rue,
But we've got the spoils
And we'll be all right.
Least I know where he is,
And no more mopsys.
