My Second Love Poem by Infinite Mind

Is it the start of something wonderful and new?
Or another dream that I can't make true?
Is it like the past I left before?
Or, the path to a place that lies ashore?
Is it like the reveries for which I fell?
Or, the nightmares similar to hell?
Is it the path to a positive start?
Or, something leaving behind another broken heart?

Insecurity is damn too high,
But why not? Let's give it a try.
Peace is what I need to find,
Amongst the struggles between the heart and the mind.
"Nothing is difficult", once a great man said
Some paths are curved, some are straight.
Everyone will get what's in their fate,
Nothing too early, nothing too late.

I still remember those cruel nights.
Another quarrel, another fight.
My first love just washed away,
Like the sand near the bay.
What was wrong? What was right?
I couldn't understand since the breakup night.
Since then I lost every belief,
A reason to smile, a reason to live.

But life gave me a chance to live again
Finding me someone amidst the rain.
I fell in love once more,
I found someone I could really adore.
Thinking of her, I could smile again.
Taking to her, made me forget all my pain.
She is the one that ought to be,
That's the only thing I could see.

The heart said yes, the mind said no
What if she doesn't feel the same
I wasn't ready for another heartbreak.
It would be too much for me to take.
Will I succeed or will I fail?
Something only time can tell.
But one thing there is for sure.
She is the one I ought to endure.

She is the reason why I laugh
She is my second love.
