My Secret Place Poem by Ronald Strickland

My Secret Place

Whenever I daydream,
and daydream I do,
in my secret place,
I daydream of you.
I daydream of you
while we're afar
embracing me tight
and holding my hand.
Holding my hand
and touching my face.
Just you and me
in this peaceful place.
In this peaceful place,
the river flows.
Birds sing their lovely songs,
and a cool breeze blows.
A cool breeze always blows
and carries our song.
Our love in this place
where you're never gone.
Where you're never gone
and I will never feel alone,
and I will always smile,
whenever I daydream of you.
Whenever I daydream
and daydream I do,
in my secret place,
I daydream of you.
