My Shadow Poem by Dana Amer

There is a shadow that is following me
With every step i make,
Slowly it moves towards me
Approaching me with extra care...

I've always knew he was there
But i kind of enjoyed his company,
Until the peaceful silence were broken
With a sound of a tragedy...

A knife cutting my chest
Passing through my heart,
Destroying everything we shared
& Causing me a great pain...

Why did you this to me my shadow? ?
Why did you stabbed me in the back? !
What have i done to you..
I thought you are going to be my best friend! !

And now while i am bleeding
And my blood is covering the floor,
No room is left for you dear shadow
Because on my heart, i have closed the door...

Sorry for that dear shadow
You have started the end,
I never wanted things to end this way
But from now on, you can't be my friend! !
