i want to look at you
to see that you’re true
but each time i try to turn into your direction
you’re gone

i want to hear your voice
to listen to each word that you’d speak
but each time you whisper in my ear
words are hard to find

i want to hold your hand
to feel the warmth of your touch
but each time i draw my hand to you
you seem so untouchable

i want to feel your love
as what you’d say that’s true
but must have been drifted
as my shadow off the shore
