My Silent Answer Poem by Jaspreet Singh

My Silent Answer

They say it’s too far from me
I can’t, what I want to be
My reply to them is straight
I just ask them to wait
They will soon see the winner
Just being the silent starer.

I don’t fear the mighty storm
I don’t fear the lonely dark
I am the bird of the storm
Having in me the endless spark
Guiding me through the silent night
Heading, gathering all my might.

I still have my life
Still have my soul
Whether alone, or with you all
I still have a lot to do
A much longer way to go
But I am not giving up yet
Still have in me more to bet.

I’ll get what I long for
Will achieve that perfect score
No one can set me back
No one can haul me up
I, being the lone crusader
Heading for the victor’s cup.

My spirit makes me capable
To attain what they say I am unable
They cannot question that spirit
They are just in awe of it
The end is that will only matter
And that will be my silent answer.
