My Sister Poem by Jessica Lindsey

My Sister

Rating: 5.0

You can see her wings
When the light hits just right
She's the sunshine every day
And at night she is the moonlight
She doesn't know how to walk,
So instead she dances
And when she flitters passed
We all turn for second glances
Her beauty is a waterfall
Pouring from her soul
We stare in breathless awe
Lacking polite self control
She's earned the love and devotion
From countless golden heart
Her eyes fill us with such sweet emotion
It lasts long after we part
She is a silver feather
Carried on the gentle weather
Her voice the threads of song
We cling to when our hope is gone
She is the Love amidst the Wars
Of this bitter world
Standing tall and unrelenting
As shells and bombs are hurled
We'd all say the same thing
If you asked us where she's from
Heaven is where angels live
And we all know that she's one.
