My Theory Of Hate Poem by Efren Petalver Carranza

My Theory Of Hate

Rating: 4.0

God created the cycle of human
With different knowledge to share
So we can learn from each other
As we grow in His hands.

But the teachings of our forefathers
That molded our beliefs,
Our customs and traditions,
These made us indifferent.

Yet, He colored our blood the same
That flows through the chords of our veins
Then to and from the heart love begins
As brothers and sisters is what He aimed

If God created us in sizes and shapes
All our skin, our hair, our eyes alike
Then our genders would be all the same
Will the theory of magnetism prevail?

If love is from the heart how about hate?
Is it from the choices we learned?
Or is it because we are different?
Or it is based on magnetism?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
To invoke my passion and to deliver the arts of words, I become a poet. The joy and laughter, the sadness and sorrow, love and hate made me a writer. Therefore, this book [or screen] is the absorbent of my emotions and you are my invisible friend to know whether I am wrong or right. I am only human to commit mistakes but I will not know until you tell me I erred. I have a heart as big as you can imagine with mental eyes to see who love and hate me, but it knows how to forgive. Above all, life has its purpose in this earth, and if it can only be measured by the kindness of the heart, I know I have long years to live. But life has its end, so why one needs to condemn? Ah! I forgot, that life is a movie - full of characters of super villains and super heroes/heroines; evil versus good; and as much as science, negative attracts positive. Otherwise, life is boring in flatness of equality - and no story to tell: the media who love to dish the spices of life; the savories of one's life in politics is the hallelujah of an opponent; whereas, in judicial court, there are the defendants versus the plaintiffs; and let's not forget that in sports, for each team, they have defense and offense aiming to win. And winning is the brim of life…..nothing else!
