My Vision To God Poem by Jimmy L. Lyons

Dear God, I'm praying for a good, strong Christian woman to share my life.
My vision is that she'll be loyal, faithful, honest, supporting and trustworthy,
someone who understands me.

She needs to be a godly woman - one who loves the Lord,
who is kind and caring and sweet.

I won't mind if she's a plus-sized woman - they need love too,
and are still beautiful on the inside.

What I don't want is a woman who tries to use me - I don't want any lies.
I want someone who keeps it real.

I want a woman who's in her forties, one who will help me find happiness;
I just want someone who will love me for me - not because I'm a poet.
I just want to be loved.

I don't want to be loved because of my finances - I want her to love me.
I'm praying God will send someone to love me,
somebody who will be there for me.

That's my vision, Lord - my vision of love and joy and happiness.
