My Wife's Mother Poem by Pritpal Singh

My Wife's Mother

My wife's mother is my wife's mother
No matter how much she is mean to me
My wife's mother is my wife's mother
Because she is the only mother that has been.
My mother is seen as a separate mother
Oh! Your double standards take me aback.
My Momma loves my wife as her own child
Gives her the care and love one would expect
Still My wife's mother is her only mother
No matter how much rude is she to me.
She doesn't has time to talk to momma when away
But she on the phone with her mother as if hours lay.
I repeat my wife mother is my wife's mother
Alas! She is my wife's mother.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Dear poet, I understand your feelings.but most of the houses husband’s mother is behave as mother-in-law to her daughter-in-law. mother - - - daughter daughter-in-law - - - - mother-in-law not a mother that is the problem. Apart from that women only goes another house leaving all her blood relations because of marriage. If men do this it is viewed as unrespect to the husband. male chavanism is the cause for this problem.
