My Wish Poem by Macwolls Kay

My Wish

If only for a day, my wish be granted,
I would love to live a day in a mound.
I would proud to live in a populous nation,
A nation so great, a nation so strong.

I would love to live in this timeless nation,
One with no parallels, one of its kind
I would live to tell of a purposeful people,
Of selfless service, of morals and values.

I would live to tell of an illustrious people,
With soldiers so brave, mighty and strong,
I would tell of disciplined armies,
loyal to the nation, loyal to the queen.

I would live to tell of an industrious people,
Working all day a nation is built.
I would live to tell of loyal servants,
Whose only wish is to please their master.

I would live to tell of orderly streets,
Jam- less traffic, of tunnels and trails,
Never seen before.

I would live in this world in guiltless pleasures,
I would dine all day and sow the oats
Oh! how I wish to live in this world.
