My Wish Upon The Stars Poem by Katie Anon

I write to you diamonds in the sky

For they say you will grant each a wish

Mine is simple & I hope not too much to ask

Just for inner peace that will finally last



I have asked the gods for help

But alas they were not there

Alone I have tried to fight my demon within

But not for want I can not banish him



So I do not wish for wealth or power

I do not care for trinkets or gold

I just desperately want to feel whole again
