My Youthful Lust Poem by Tlotliso Banda

My Youthful Lust

In my mind you hiss
like an unfavorable mist.
My mind you've mixed
and with a thorn you've pricked.

I used to miss
All those days in a glimpse
When my mind was a weak-lately-born
to know nothing about this vast world.

I thought you would last
But you were for just
and a spell you've cast
then my life you've burst.

I wanted to live in vain,
And now I'm sayin' it again.
I'm waiting for a train,
to carry me again.
