Mother Najin, daughter Fatu,
Last northern white rhinos that
Still remain alive, just these two
In their protected habitat.
For centuries, poachers have killed
These rhinos only for their horn,
And lucrative contracts fulfilled.
But no new offspring can be born
To either mother or daughter.
They must be guarded all the time
To prevent greedy slaughter.
Poachers just wait to do this crime.
It's hoped these last two live in peace,
But threats against them will not cease.
