Life itself can sometimes betray us,
Burn our dreams, disappoint our hopes
And dump us in the sea of questions,
To the jubilation of our foes.
When sometimes one exhausts all the options
But finds nothing on which to rely,
When you see nothing but commotion,
Look above, and His love, don’t deny.
Like the clock, focus on your duty,
Cheer up, and rejoice with the happy,
Wipe your tears and don’t soil your beauty
For all you know, life is a nappy.
