I want to be just like the sand
Not being held back by any humans hand
Alone among millions of friends
Ready to move with the lightest wind
Travel the world and never be seen
Doesn't matter if I'm dirty or clean

I want to be like the leaves of a tree
Accomplishing much of what nature needs
Able to nourish animals so small
Catching rain drops when they fall
Going away depending on the season
Returning again for no reason

I want to be like a field of flowers
A type of beauty you could stare at for hours
Everyone who passes by slightly yielding
Completley exposed with no shield
The wind spreading more seeds on the floor
Who knows how many more will grow

I want to be like a brook in the forest
Having to go off the trail and not be a lame tourist
When you find it, it is so refreshing
Lay next to it and continue your stretching
The water will calm you
And make you feel so brand new

I want to be like the big blue ocean
Never stopping in constant motion
Containing more than humans will ever see
So vast it can be nothing but free
Touching every part of the world
So fierce men fear when it begins to swirl

I want to be like the wind in the air
Going wherever without the slightest care
A hot or cold breeze depending on the weather
The freedom beneath a birds feathers
Never stopping just continually going
Around the world a new place every morning

I want to be as free as these things
Because I feel like a puppet attached to strings
People pulling me in every direction
Every error needs a quick correction
I want to break free so the world can see
The only person I will ever need is me
