Nature Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Nature

Of all the creatures in the world,
You are the only one,
That matches me so perfectly,
And fills my heart with sun.

Into the heart of every man
Is a yearning to be loved.
It stays there glued by nature,
And is guarded from high above!

The mountains tall, are special,
But so are all rivers and lakes.
The majesty of all of creation
Is in each breath I take.

In all the world, I could never find,
One as unique as you in my own mind!
Like Noah’s Ark and it’s two by two.
You girl for me and this boy for you!

Had I not known in the beginning,
You were sent to me from above,
I'd have sent The Carpenter the blueprints,
That my nature required for love!

It would not have mattered
if you were blonde or brown.
Or redhead or silver or gray.
It only matters that if given a choice,
You would have chosen with me
You should stay!
