Nature And Nurture Poem by Tushar Ray

Nature And Nurture

Rating: 5.0

Rearing children is a grave concern facing our high-tech world
As wrong conduct has often crossed the edge of crisis now
Hence major effort is in urgent call to raise the moral of kids
Nurturing all with a managed love meeting their mind-body needs

We must meet the basic needs for their holistic health and foster
Rearing them with a core support with ample love and care
Guiding all with our best prudence keeping a focused goal
Carefully leading these tender souls to show their talent power

Parents also must be practicing what they preach to their kids
Frankly admitting mistakes made whenever they are deemed
And teachers too must live by rules what they inflict on them
Thus helping to implant good morals in these formative minds

We must teach all our kids to be true to their words and deeds
Using powers of punishment and rewards in their everyday deals
Keeping in mind their innocent heart and kid’s forgetful nature
Must be patient to deal with them while giving them ample care

We must train these tender souls for a positive stance in life
Making aware of our loving Earth with her selfless nature
Thinking of earth as lifelong foster, a giver of tireless help
Thus urging kids to treat live Earth as our own Global Mother

Then children will find positive ground in their mind-body field
The solid core as reference base to make proper choice in life

Tushar, your poem has a definitive message that everyone in the world needs to heed if we are to raise our children to be honest, truthful, responsible, citizens of the earth. In order to do this, as you say we must be patient, kind, caring and loving always so they may make proper choices in their lives. This is a very positive message for everyone to read! Fantastic and explicit guide to raising children with morals, ethics and compassion. Thank you Tushar for sharing this enlightening poem. RoseAnn

Thank you very much, RoseAnn. This is badly needed as we discussed on this topic earlier. I have been thinking about this for the last decade. It is sad that it is not happening sooner.
