Nature Renews Poem by Deanna Samuels

Nature is a miracle
It is a wonder and an amazement.
Every year after long winter sleep,
awakes and renews.

Buds appear as if by magic
from bare brittle twigs
and branches seemingly dead.
Tiny heads peep out embracing warmer clime
and, with but a few days of sunshine,
grow, reach out towards the sun,
burst open, blossom into a festoon of blooms
of pink, white, blue and cream.
The freshness overwhelming the senses,
the beauty stunning -
a blaze of wonderment.

The miracle of renewal
sweeps quickly into spring,
preparing for the on-coming summer,
in growing the fruits of what they bear.
