Nature’s Soft Embrace

I was walking down my driveway
To get my morning mail
Enjoying the birds’ soft chirps
That I can count on without fail

The sweetness of the blossoms
From trees beside my road
Was fresh and very comforting
And it lessened so my load

The wind picked up a little bit
And it gently caressed my face
I closed my eyes enjoying
Nature’s special soft embrace

I looked around me carefully
Looked up and said some words
To God who I know loves me
And I knew those words He heard

I’ve had a few troubled times
Just like everyone I know
But my faith in God sure helps me
And He's everywhere I go!
