'Tis the festival of dancing,
ladies deck themselves with flowers
and begin their sweet romancing,
in the twilight's moonlit hours!

Each day bedecked in different hues
fickle as bright butterflies;
Red crimson roses, sea sky blues,
stars shine in their sultry eyes!

Hear the music of the drumbeat,
Let it make a brand new start;
Feel it tingle in your bare feet,
Let it echo in your heart!

Nine days of music, revelry!
when my soul will dance with me!
