Negro Hate Poem by Samcilla Baakojr

Negro Hate

Please don't shoot me
I have done nothing wrong
I'm only going home
And I'll be there before long
I'm not a crack dealer or thief
So please spare me this grief
I'm smarter than you
But you are special in your own way
Your acts, facts and all contributes to say
We are different, but the same denizens
How can you hate me when you don't even know my name?
And killing me for your selfishness and fame!
My family will cry if I die cos' I'm too young
Their tears will be for my lost
Yours will cry for the destruction of their past reputation
Think of your mother if you don't want to consider mine
You have two siblings whiles I have nine
Please be humbled, don't kill me
I can't win this fight, you have the gun
And there's nobody to witness us
So I'll be dead and you can run
You hate me for no reason
But because I'm born in a black skin
A skin so dear to my mother land
Yet awkward for you, on the other hand
