Neon Star Poem by jessie warren

Neon Star

You always tell me
that I'm better than anyone.
Believe it or not I agree with you.
Apparently being better has a fee.
You see I have the power of invisibility
or at least thats how it seems.

At times I see you as a neon star
there yet so far away.
Your in my sight but
cant hear what I say.
Your brighter than anything else,
the center of my life.
Hearing the beat of your pulse
holds the power to put me to sleep
just by writing this I know I'm in deep.

Realizing that I have caused
you the same pain.
Makes me worse, theres nothing to gain.
I want you to know that
I'll never leave in spirit, mind, body, or soul.
I'll never walk away
intending not to come back.
I believe that being with you is a part of my role.
My love for you will never decay
as I know your's will never fade away.
