I never got to run
My fingers through your hair
Or say to you
I'll always be there

I never got to know
My own flesh and blood
I would turn back the clock
If only I could

I never got to hold you
In my arms
And keep you safe
Away from harm

I never got to see
Your sweet rosy cheeks
I wasn't there for you
When you were so weak

I never got to give you
A sisterly kiss
And even though we never met
You will always be missed

I never met you at all
For you only lived two hours
But when I come and visit you
I always bring you flowers
