Never Foreseen Poem by samatha squiers

Never Foreseen

Gripping me like a vice,

Feeling as though you're a snake wrapping yourself all around me.

Water rushing past us,

But it's like we are in a bubble,

Completely cut off from everyone and everything.

The ice cold water not even touching our bodies,

As if the feelings we have are a shield blocking out everything that would ruin this.

But what we had was not like a fairytale,

It was a train wreck that was never foreseen.
