Never Forget Poem by Carla Hart Ruber

Never Forget

We sorrow in our hearts
We must never forget
Death is only a part
Of Life, here on Earth.

With our very birth
We are given
A death sentence,
With no reprieve.

What we do with our lives;
Whether we spend it
Foolish or wise,
The fact we have experienced Life
Is what matters!

Beyond the grave
That seems so cold,
Is another kind of Life,
Where we’ll never grow old.

Life eternal
With no more tears.
No more aching, no more fears.

We must never give up;
We must see and believe.
We must Love each other.
Only that is our heart’s reprieve.

Sure do like your style Carla - heartfelt and simply said - with a strong message. This puts death in perspective - it's part of life as you said. I'm finally reading some of your poems - I put the link right on my Yahoo homepage this morning so I'd remember - it worked! :)
