Jabari, Lion King, does hear
Coming of twenty twenty two,
Hopefully a Happy New Year
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
Good New Year news that may be had
If Jabari does have his way,
Jabari will be a new Dad,
His new cub offspring on display.
Yes, roaring good news would be that,
And Jabari's roar surely heard
Throughout the lion habitat,
The sounding such good news assured.

So fingers crossed that the New Year
Will add to the lion pride here.
