New Year Virgin Bride Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

On the day at zero night
When Old Year will pass away,
Slowly and slowly she will come
Taking birth as a virgin bride,
Decorated with many ornaments,
She will smile matching face
With Old Year, the old lady,
She will wear same bangles
As the Old Year is her own
Mother-in-law in relationship,
Bride has rights to wear,
All dresses and ornaments
Of her own Mother-in-law,
Old Year will hand over the key
Of her material home to New Year,
As a pure new virgin bride,
She will accept the key of store.

New year virgin bride will rise
Like sun rises at every new day,
Before appearance she will reside,
In womb of previous night of December
And she will take birth in first day
Of coming January at first hour,
When she will come out of womb
At zero night's passage of love,
She will cry like newborn baby.

Then seeing new sunrise at morning,
She will start smiling and grow,
She will grow very fast like moon,
Wishing all very happy life's mood,
Bride wearing green-golden veil,
She will sing prayer song of joy
Keeping her promise before our God,
She will start nourishing creatures.

Oh dear people of this lovely planet,
We are wishing you very happy New Year,
May God bring good luck for you all!
May many fragrant flowers bloom for you!
We are wishing you all the best forever,
For watching pretty new virgin bride,
Opening her golden veil of love and peace,
She welcomes us and we welcome her in duty.
