Nfl In Denial Poem by Ima Ryma

Nfl In Denial

A pro football player does beat
His girlfriend unconscious in rage.
NFL powers have to meet.
Tolerance is in a new age.
No doubt the NFL would hope
To make the matter go away.
But reality makes them cope
That in lost profits they might pay.
And so the player is let go,
Encouraged not to further flack.
Maybe after a year or so
The player will make a comeback.

Locker room lessons prob'ly taught -
Do whatever - just don't get caught.
