Nickle In My Pocket Poem by Juan Olivarez

Nickle In My Pocket

A nickel in my pocket,
A penny for your thoughts,
A quarter buys a rocket,
That the ice cream vender brought.

Jingling in my pocket,
Coins I have today.
Some from my allowance,
All I put away.

For me and my sidekick,
Pepe come with me,
I'll buy you a Pomac,
Just you wait and see.

A nickel in my pocket,
A penny for your thoughts,
I'll buy you that rocket,
That the ice cream vender brought.

6/2/10 29 palms ca.
