Night Of Loneliness Poem by Suelynn Walters

Night Of Loneliness

Rating: 4.0

A lonely night waiting in the pub
Another drink greets these lips of mine
The rain is coming down like crazy
And I don't even care about the time
The guy next to me is smiling away
He thinks he's got me fooled with lies
My mind is far away and occupied
The conversation suddenly dies
This restless soul of mine
Dancing with some stranger
I can hardly stand on my own two feet
The music is so loud to my ears
Two bodies moving closely to the beat
It's closing time for everyone
I got to get myself back home
Do you want to come to my place he says
Thanks baby but I'm going it alone
This restless soul of mine
