Nightmares Poem by Damian olatunde Ogedengbe

Nightmares

Ever been so grateful? ,
As you open your eyes,
In the middle of the night,
To warm sweats trickling,
Down your cold skin,
Only to realize,
It was just a nightmare? ,

That deep sigh of relief,
While you reminisce,
About how lucky you got,
As a day will come,
When you will blink severally,
Hoping it was a nightmare,
Alas, it would be reality,
Realer than your whole life.
