No darkness around me
There is no darkness around me
and negativity has no place
In the cancer that eats into the
cradle where my babies once lay.
When men cried with stupid giddiness
reaching climax of exquisite nature.
Babies would no more be on sweaty
hands or silent tomb stones.
Along a path of recklessness and folly
and of dancing toes, an aura of pink spirituality
covers my fear of this silent killer
I see the path before me and though
I may falter; I will find its weakness
and live tomorrow
