No Matter How Small The Piece Poem by Silence Dogood

No Matter How Small The Piece

Rating: 5.0

It was love at first sight.
When I never knew youre name.
When we were just two strangers.
Too ignorant to blame.

On that first day.
With snow covered ground.
You stole my heart.
And it's yet to be found.

It wasn't until later.
When we finally locked eyes.
Your identity revealed.
When I began to realize.

I was falling in love.
With a guy I barely knew.
Every inch of me waiting.
For the words I love you.

I got to know you better.
And we became friends.
But you were taken.
Is this the way it ends?

Glass shattered pieces.
Remanants of my heart.
Every part of me broken.
Everything falls apart.

But I still wore my smile.
Remained a love struck girl.
An undiscovered beauty.
A deep sea pearl.

From your perspective.
Nothing has changed.
In your eyes.
Im still the same.

You have someone else.
Much better than me.
I wanted your heart.
No matter how small the piece.
***
You played me like a game.
Chewed me up like a toy.
But im just a silly girl.
Falling for that stupid boy.
