No Wonder It's Called A Crush Poem by Silence Dogood

No Wonder It's Called A Crush

Rating: 5.0

Dip my heart in acid.
Rip it into shards.
Make it feel the pain.
Of falling to hard.
***
They say live life to the fullest.
Live life with no regrets.
But what if that mistake.
Is the one you can't forget?

I once knew you by heart.
Until you started to change.
I look back on the memories.
And realize were not the same.

Im clinging to the ghosts of the past.
Who I thought you used to be.
When you could tell a blush.
By a simple kiss of the cheek.

The routine we use to have.
You'd walk me to the door.
Kiss me with sweet passion.
Just like the night before.

You'd compliment my smile.
I'd try hard not to blush.
As you looked me in the eyes.
And said this was no crush.

Every Tueseday morning.
I'd find roses in the mail.
Signed with I love you.
Just like a fairytale.

You made me feel like a princess.
Rescued by my charming knight.
How I miss the way you touched me.
The way you held me tight.

How I miss what we once were.
How I miss that sarcastic smile.
But all you did was play my heart.
And all I did was live in denial.

I give you credit for breaking.
What was already broken.
It takes skills to ignore.
All that, that was spoken.
***
It's deep how you can be so shallow.
But I'm afraid cause I have no fear.
And I didn't believe in magic
Until I watched you dissapear.
