No Matter The Outcome Poem by Ray Hansell

No Matter The Outcome

Tomorrow I'll see the doctor
Then, I'll get the news
Whether it's good or bad
It's not for me to chose

I'm hoping for the best
But ready for the worst
Sometimes I think it's life
That causes us to curse

They removed the cancer
Now I'm waiting to see
If that's all that was needed
To be done to me

Or will I still need treatment
To fight this disease
All I want to be is healthy
Oh God, won't you help me please

No matter what the outcome
I kmow I'm going to fight
Because something inside of me
Tells me the future is very bright
