No One At Your Side Poem by Sandra Feldman

No One At Your Side

Rating: 4.7

Way down,
Where torrid loneliness
Is a way of life,
In the mysteries
Of the solitude of Time,
Past and Present, collide
The Future, just a lie,
Life's gap, wide
It is then, that you sadly ask
"Who will now walk by my side? "

Suddenly,
You realize
That Life has passed you by,
That you are totally alone
But no longer strong
To face incessant storms,
And you cry
Hopelessly,
Timeless tears
As you verify
That there is no one at your side
And into oblivion, you silently slide....

Nicely expressed. A lament of unpossessed love.
