No Rose Blooms Poem by Naveed Akram

No Rose Blooms

May no rose bloom when your heart expands,
Or if they smell, why does my heart just bleed?
O such eccentricity! It's blood's blood,
The same venous trap of a failed expansion.
Without you in my garden, the world fears me,
I am a heavy-minded being, with hearts of plenty.

To the wind, I cast lots, and smell of harm and airs
Of frivolity, the same soul argues and distorts.
Truth is a vital sign for the traveller,
Flames burn, doses of fire, risings of temperature
Too perturbing, like a whistle about to shout
And sing praises of a fairy, a sold theatrical unit.
