No School Poem by Ojaswee Das

No School

Dear Parents,

Today is a huge strike
A demon spoiled the roads
No vehicles are allowed to run
I'll help you carry the loads

The teacher has got some disease
Which is contagious and hostile
The seeds have to sown right now
I found some seed fertile

If I go to school today
Tomorrow you won't see me
I'll have to be hospitalized
while returning I'll be all dreamy

So instead of facing problems
Just let me be absent today
I promise I would go to school tomorrow
If it was not a Saturday
