Nocturnal Serenade in Ursa Minor

[Malam ini dingin sekali ya sayang
Apakah kita sudah benar-benar ada di utara? ]

............

Sudah berapa jauh kita berjalan?
Sudah berapa lama sejak kita meninggalkan sauh?

Aku dehidrasi sayang
Apakah kamu tidak?
Mengapa bibirmu tetap basah
Minum apa kamu tadi siang?

Seingatku,
Tadi siang kamu hanya membaca buku
Buku apa itu tadi?
Kelihatan sangat tebal

Ah, masa bodoh
Kita istirahat sebentar sayang
Kita bersandar sejenak pada batu itu
Batu yang telah dibuang oleh tukang-tukang bangunan

Baiklah sayangku
Aku akan menyanyikan sebuah lagu
untukmu
mumpung sedang padang wulan

Dengan kuda betina dari pada kereta-kereta firaun
kuumpamakan engkau, manisku
Moleklah pipimu ditengah perhiasan-perhiasan
dan lehermu ditengah kalung-kalung
Bagiku kekasihku setangkai bunga pacar
di kebun anggur En-Gedi
Lihatlah, cantik engkau, manisku
sungguh cantik engkau
bagaikan merpati matamu.
(K.A)

Ah, marilah kita lanjutkan perjalanan
Tuntunlah aku
Aku nggak bawa kompas
Aku sering tersesat

dan, antarkanlah aku kepada terang
yang selalu kamu ceritakan padaku
saat dulu kita sedang berjalan
di telapak malam

........

[Malam ini dingin sekali ya sayang
Apakah kita sudah benar-benar ada di utara? ]

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
