Nocturne Xiv Twilight Reverie Poem by Kate Wiley

Nocturne Xiv Twilight Reverie

Rating: 5.0

The sun goes down behind the dusky trees
When twilight comes along. I’m all alone
In the evening light
That’s fleeing quickly into night
When the birds are hushed~
And there's a melancholy;
Little stars gleam softly in the night
Like songs that linger wistfully.

I stand beside the road and dream a dream.
There is a fading glow, the sky is pale,
Moonlight rises slowly.
Visions of my childhood days
In a dejavu’~
Dance into my starry dream
Calling me again,
Deepening my twilight reverie.

Kate, Such a lovely poem...Such sweet sadness. It touched my heart. I would like to get back to that place to write sweet and pure like that again. Dorothy

Respect here for memories never to be forgotten.. but sadness too, for some that may never to be repeated... In awe of life... Deana
