Not A Man To Behold Poem by Garrett Westcott

Not A Man To Behold

Deep cold wilds
Frolicked by the breath of life
Breathing liquid through their gills
Or the frozen breeze
In the strange calm of night
Not a man to behold this scape
The sails are absent
The valiant sailor's heart grows faint
Creatures cloaked in obscurity
No eyes steal the sight
From this canvas of the Almighty
Who will then tell the news?
Of the beauty of the artic sea
When the sky falls down
And God's children are heaven bound
And the mystery of this frigid world
Will no longer be
