Not Again? Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Not Again?

Look at the children play all dance around
Like toy soldiers wee boys prance up and down
Everybody works toiling with joy
Our volk, the enemy will not destroy

See movie reels from nineteen thirty eight
Never knew the future that did await
Party and sing like there's no tomorrow
They did not know that their time was borrowed

To repeat history over again
Those who want war have never felt the pain
Blind follow blind into the depths of hell
So do as your told and play your part well

I hope I am wrong I really do
And all I have said will never come true
