Not Around Poem by Lawerence Mize, Sr.

Not Around

Rating: 5.0

Know I'm not
Always around
Feet keep going
cover a lot of ground

Sometimes a blur
on a warm summer's day
Hard to remember
things I do or say

A phantom shadow
on a gentle breeze
A tender kiss
more like a tease

I come and go
I'm in and out
Just not around
What I'm all about

Want to stop
plant some roots
Feel some love
shed these boots

I do like this one; it speaks of a sense of stability to a ceaselessly wandering soul. Very good.
