Not Burnt-Out Poem by Satish Verma

Not Burnt-Out

You did't need to
pray like the Milky Way
handing on moon.

Why did you follow
me, when I was alone―
hurt, in stampede?

Touch me again
when yellow jasmine wakes.
I will linger all night.
