Those who are free can run their mountains
Sail their seas and have no fear,
Those who are free can speak, contain-
And voice the thoughts that they hold dear.
Those who are free can truly stand
Head high and strong to face and defend
Their precious homes and native land
Not lean on another's strength to lend.
Yet many hold here just a mirage
Of freedom's dream that's so elusive,
Yes anthem's sang, but a false corsage
Of the dream is worn by us who believe.
We are not free, never independent-
Our celebrations just showy grandeur,
We cannot fight and this is my lament-
We salute our flag as pretenders...not victors!
